As Head of Finance of our Belgian entity, you play a key role in driving the performance, structure and financial robustness of the Belgian manufacturing entity, operating within a fast-growing radiopharmaceutical startup and a highly regulated environment.
You act as a strategic business partner to local management, overseeing finance, accounting, payments and controlling, compliance and business support activities, while supporting the progressive transition from a project-driven phase (plant construction, process implementation) to a fully operational industrial site.
The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, in close collaboration with Group Finance and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Financial leadership & controlling:
Prepare, manage and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
Develop and maintain controlling tools and dashboards adapted to a project-based and industrial environment.
Analyze variances, propose corrective actions and support management decision-making.
Ensure accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting to local management and Group Finance.
Compliance, governance & risk management:
Ensure full compliance with financial, accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements applicable to industrial radiopharmaceutical activities.
Act as a key point of contact for audits (internal, external, investors, authorities).
Identify financial, contractual and operational risks and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
Act as a financial business partner to project teams (engineering, production, quality, supply chain, R&D, etc.).
Provide transversal support on economic, contractual, institutional and financial aspects of projects.
Support financial assessments of investments (CAPEX/OPEX) related to plant construction and future operations.
Identify, structure and manage public and private funding opportunities (including local loan/debt opportunities and government subsidies), grants and institutional support schemes.
Maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, public authorities and institutional partners.
Contribute to financial documentation for fundraising, due diligence and strategic initiatives.
Work closely with Group Finance within an international matrix organization.
Align local project/manufacturing needs with Group financial frameworks and priorities.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior finance role (Head of Finance, Finance Director/Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner or equivalent).
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field, or Bachelor’s degree with strong relevant experience.
Strong background in financial controlling, budgeting and reporting.
Proven experience in a matrix and international environment.
Exposure to startup or scale-up environments, ideally during project and industrialization phases.
Experience in a manufacturing facility with Capex management, understand from facility build to operations is a plus.
Solid understanding of compliance, governance, audit and risk management.
Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
Proactive and creative in identifying optimization and funding opportunities.
Ability to work autonomously while delivering clear communication and outputs aligned with the expectations of both local management and Group functions.
Natural leadership and advisory posture toward management and project teams.
